Interesting old Czech violin, circa 1950's, in excellent shape and ready to make music. This fiddle is easy to play and very lightweight and resonant. Freshly set up with a new ebony nut, new rosewood pegs, new bridge and sound post, a set of Red Label strings, and a Wittner style tailpiece with fine tuners. The European boxwood fingerboard is striking and much lighter in weight than the more commonly used ebony. Paper label inside reads Copy of Antonius Stradivari, Made in Czechoslovakia.
Included is everything you need to get started....2 bows (one is German and made of Brazilwood), the original case (in rough shape and missing the handle), a chin rest, an older style shoulder rest and some rosin. This will make an excellent starter violin.
